CBD oil is a fascinating non-psychoactive extract derived from either the cannabis or hemp plant. The “CBD” part stands for cannabinoids, which are among the numerous compounds naturally present in these plants. In fact, there are over one hundred cannabinoids estimated to exist, and scientists have identified 113 of them so far, with CBD being one of these fascinating components. It’s worth noting that CBD oil is categorised as a food or health supplement, often used to enhance overall health and wellbeing.

CBD, being a marvellous cannabinoid, has a fascinating way of engaging with the receptors found within the endocannabinoid system of our bodies. These receptors play a crucial role in regulating essential functions that we experience daily, such as appetite, digestion, sleep, and mood. CBD acts as a helpful ally to these receptors, assisting them in maintaining a natural balance. By doing so, CBD contributes to supporting mental well-being and overall body wellness.

Absolutely! In the United Kingdom, CBD oil is indeed legal. However, it must meet specific criteria to ensure compliance. To be considered legal, CBD oil should contain extremely low levels (below 0.005%) of THC (D9-Tetrahydrocannabinol), which is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. It’s worth noting that cannabis oil with high THC content is not permitted in the UK. Rest assured, at Kynd our CBD oils have undergone thorough quality checks at independently verified UKAS labs to ensure compliance with these regulations, making them completely legal.

Not at all! While CBD is derived from the hemp plant, which is known for its potential to induce a high, it’s important to note that CBD products have had the psychoactive component called THC significantly removed. So, there’s no need to worry about experiencing any kind of “high” sensation. Instead, you can look forward to a greater sense of relaxation, reduced stress levels, and an overall improved mood. It’s also safe to take even if you’re driving.

We offer CBD in a delightful array of formats, including oils, sprays, edibles, and even skincare. Each format has its own unique characteristics and effects, allowing you to choose based on your personal preferences. If you’re new to CBD, edibles and topicals are often a popular starting point for those embarking on their CBD journey. They offer a convenient and enjoyable way to incorporate CBD into your routine. On the other hand, oils and sprays tend to be the most widely discussed and frequently used options, especially among individuals who regularly incorporate CBD into their lives.

The timeframe for CBD to take effect can vary from person to person since we all respond differently to CBD. While some individuals may experience the desired effects with just one dose per day, others may find that they benefit from 2-3 doses spread throughout the day. It’s important to listen to your body and find a dosage regimen that works best for you.

Keep in mind that CBD may take some time to build up in your system, so it’s recommended to be patient and consistent with your CBD usage. Additionally, factors such as metabolism, individual body chemistry, and the method of CBD consumption can also influence the onset of effects. Ultimately, it’s a personal journey of discovering what works best for you and adjusting your CBD routine accordingly.

The appropriate CBD dosage can vary from person to person, and it often depends on individual factors such as body weight, metabolism, and desired effects. It’s recommended to start with a low dosage and gradually increase it until you achieve the desired results. While there is no one-size-fits-all answer, it’s generally advised not to exceed 70mg of CBD per day.

However, it’s crucial to consult with a medical professional or healthcare provider before incorporating CBD into your routine. They can provide personalised guidance and consider any specific health considerations or medications you may be taking. WE recommend all our customers to follow the guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) ensures responsible CBD usage and prioritises your well-being.

The most widely used method for taking CBD is through CBD oils. These oils are typically taken sublingually, which means placing a few drops of concentrated CBD oil under your tongue and holding them there for approximately 60 seconds before swallowing. This allows the oil to be absorbed effectively. In addition to sublingual administration, you can also swallow the oil directly or add the drops to a fat source, such as peanut butter, to enhance absorption.

CBD oils provide a versatile and convenient way to incorporate CBD into your daily routine. However, it’s important to note that there are various other methods available, such as capsules, edibles, topicals, and more. Exploring different methods can help you find the one that best suits your preferences and lifestyle.

On average, CBD typically stays in your system for about 2-5 days, but it’s important to note that this can vary from person to person. Several factors can influence the duration, including the method of consumption and the strength of the CBD product you use. Everyone’s metabolism and body chemistry can also play a role in how long CBD stays detectable in their system.

It’s worth mentioning that while CBD may leave your system within a few days, the effects and benefits of CBD can still be experienced for a longer duration. If you have any concerns regarding drug tests or specific situations, it’s advisable to consult with a medical professional or trusted authority for personalised guidance. While a prescription is not necessary, it’s important to consult with a medical professional before taking CBD, particularly if you are currently using other medications. This ensures that you can make informed decisions about your health and well-being.

According to the World Health Organisation, CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. However, it may cause adverse reactions in some people. Reported side effects include dry mouth and drowsiness, and it can cause a small drop in blood pressure. One potential effect to note is the biphasic effect, where the response to a certain dose can vary when higher doses are used, potentially exacerbating symptoms.

To ensure a positive experience with CBD, we recommend that first-time users start with our entry-level oil, preferably taken at night before bed. This allows you to gauge your body’s response and gradually increase the strength if needed. If you are currently taking other medications, it’s crucial to consult with your GP or medical professional to discuss potential interactions or any other possible side effects that may arise.
